Went to watched DK with my APD mates.Must say it was worth the hype.Bale reprises his role as Batman and really,he was born to play batman.The late Heath Ledger captivates as the joker and embodies the insane criminal well.The movie is quite long..about 2hr 30 mins but its worth your every cent.The plot interwines well and of course,no batman movie is complete without the batmobile which this time split into a batbike.So those of you who are thinking to watch what movie..Dark Knight is your best bet

Yeah..finally logged into my blog to update.Nearly forgot my password to log in.Seems like is about 6 months i update..loooonnng time indeed.Been busy with work and of course busy playing my PS3!!..damn..that thing is addictive i tell ya.Anyway my life is still about the same.Work 8.30 til 5 then go home play my ps3.repeat rinse and you get the same all thing.

One thing about NS is that is very mundane (for me at least) and really cant wait for it to be over!I still got 10 months left which is about the same thing a mother give birth.Been a long time too since i seen my ITE or secondary school friends.Only went out with Dennis and Azhar last week to watch Hancock and my oh my how long indeed since i last saw them.

Anyway anybody wanna go Singfest?..i really like to go there and since it being a concert,i dont wanna be alone!!Here are the details SINGfest

Played football with a group of fellow Bedokians yesterday.Cos i got nothing to do on sundays,i met up with this guys to play football.Yesterday we played a match with a "veteran" side!haha..the apek still can run i tell you!But being apek,they played hard but if you do the same to them,they cant accept it.Played at a pitch in a abandon Braddell - Westlake School.The pitch however,was in a terrible state.There were potholes and basically the pitch was waterlogged and muddy.

This brought up a point in my mind.If the people who rent out this pitch to public ask a for fee,why cant they repair the pitch?Isnt it better if the money collected were used to build a synthetic field?Yes it will be costly at first but the maintenance is low and even if it rain heavily,the pitch wont be in a bad state.Singapore is gearing itself to host the YOG and looking forward to be a Sports Hub and the pitch is honestly a disgrace to us!Something need to be done people!

So many things happen in 07 and really,times fly very fast!Where do i start..well first of all,finally graduated from ITE..best peeps there.Then i turn to a ripe old age of 21!..made a certain someone mad at me..hope she forgive me..then the major point in a guy life..i enter NS!

For 08 hopefully i can go thru NS with no shit being thrown at me and i know,08 have just began but i cant wait till the end of the year!Then my NS will left only 5 months!But back to reality,have to go thru 08 like the rest of the mortals.Well thats all for 08,taking small steps at a time cos i may have plan everything out but in the end,its God for decide it.HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!

Its been awhile since i update my blog and theres a reason for it too.Till the start of new year,i will be posting some of my reflection.So to start things off,i just read my blog and others that i didnt blog about my "wonderful" posting!!

Haha.I think most of my mate knew by now what i got.For those that didnt know,i get the posting of SA=Staff asisstant!When i first heard i got that,i was dumbfounded and anger.How could this be!!All those confinement for failing my IPPT and the sweat to finally attaining the Silver!My blood as certainly boiling!!Why couldnt they post me to my choice like SOC or PCG?Talk to my mum and she say God must do this for a reason.Well,hope so.

Im now at Airport Police Division and if you are making a Airport Pass,chances are,your card will be made by .....me!!Been there for about 2 months now and have certainly face a share of people.From the courteous to the rude,from the ah pek to Chinaman and also people who dont know the diff between index finger and thumb!Well, i must say i get to interact to a whole of people!My wish is for my NS life to go as fast as possible so that i can continue with my live.

The draw for the 3rd Qualifying Round for the WC was announce this morning.Singapore managed to steer away from the like of China,Iran and South Korea.Instead in come Saudi Arabia.The group is completed with Lebanon and Uzbekistan.My heart said that we CAN qualify from the group but my brain say the opposite.Realistically, we have to take this opportunity to upgrade ourself to their own standard.We can be the kingpin of ASEAN soccer for 10 years running but it comes to nothing when we cant stand on par with Asia best.As such hopefully young players will get the opportunity to play in the group stages and give them exposure which we sorely lack.

Back to the group,i have the Lions will give their opponents a fight for the money and show that we are not minnows in football.We knows we can even shock them!Remember Singapore 2 Iraq 0?
So people lend them our support!!Majulah Singapura!!

ASEAN Summit

Was very fortunate to be involved in the recently concluded ASEAN Summit.Although some of my weekends was burnt,i really learn something from the deployment.It was no joke having to secure the area where the delegates were staying and sometimes it was tiring as well.Luckily the hotel staff was very helpful and i even managed to talk to some of them regarding the hotel and their work.Seem that most of them are foreign students who are attached to the hotel as porter.
I must say,after spending months in TRACOM,nothing beats a experience like this.Will gladly take another deployment although it is another 12 hr shift!

2007 seems to be a good year for PC gamer enthusiast as more brilliant games are out.After Bioshock,titles like Call of Duty 4,Crysis and Gears of War have been released.The game are bound to push the limit of my computer,as such i have to upgrade it!Well on the plus side,its about time i do so as computer are now run by either duo or quad core.

Most Tiring Day EVER!!

Did the whole parade sequence twice today and its was FREAKING tiring!All in all i think we stood around for 1hr 30 mins and the fact that the Parade Commander is a dumbass doesnt help.He screw some lines and it really irritate the hell of uS!
Saw Laura on Tuesday and she said that i looked different as she said i have slimmed!Dont know whether to take that as a compliment or not but its nice to meet her after so long.Since we took the same bus we chatted and catch up.

Now that the fasting month is over,we all have to do our POP drill.The Parade itself falls on the 30 October.The first time we had the drill is was very TIRING!!Imagine doing the same thing over and over again.Standing under the hot sun doesnt help much either and we had to stay at Sedia and Senang Diri for over 3 minutes each time.I have new found respect for those people who did the NDP.Its certainly not easy to be in one!But i must say as of today,we know what to do already and cant wait for the Parade!

My stay at the mention room is over as we had to dekit.A lot of memories we had in the room.For this week,we had our Law Test which comprises of 150 questions and we had 2hr30 mins to do it.We got our results and we had only 1 failure.Tough luck.On Thursday night which is our last night, we all became jackass!From sabo people for their birthday to hiding in locker and scaring the crap out of them.Gonna miss the fellows when we go our separate ways.

Met up with Haja and Azhar yesterday after a long time.Went to Marina Square where i bought a jean for $19! while the guys bought t-shirts.After we break our fast at KFC, we then went to Suntec where i finally had my long awaited sip of Belgian Chocolate at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaves.We talked about stuff and catch up and azhar still have not received his enlistment letter!Well,we plan to go to geylang next week and anybody else interested?

Week 12

Cant believe that i got 1 more week left!This week we all had our SBT test and some funny stuff happen.While doing the test,my handcuff got taken away!We also did our PDT test and what was sad was when the instructor said "this is my last time saying keluar baris to you all".It really touches us although PDT is one tough lesson!He also said that its been a privilege of teaching us.Well left 1 more week and the last and daunting exam that is facing us is the law exam.Hope that everyone will pass so that we all can go as one as when we came in.

Most tiring week we had to date.Even though it was fasting,the PT was rabak!!It was not this rabak when not fasting.Dont know what got into the instructor.Then on Friday we had to go through Police Standard Obstacle Course.What worse is that it was damn hot and the sun is directly abouve our head!We need to clear the PSOC in 5min 30s and i managed to do that.Afterwards,all those who were fasting look like they are gonna die!My throat was so dry that even my saliva felt like choking me.Those who cannot tahan break their fast!Anyway left 2 more weeks and next week we will be having Scenario Based Test where we are tested on how we react to cases.Wish me luck!

Cant believe that i have been at HTA for 10 weeks!!And that means that only 3 weeks left!Yipee! This week is extra special as its a new experience fasting during NS.PT is the same and during PSOC, i run and after stopping, my head was spinning!Its a nice thing that we all get to break fast together although the mess looks very..messy!After breaking fast, we all head to the nearest mosque to perform the tarawih.Quite surprise that the imam there recite only the short verses as i think maybe HTA have instructed them to do so to allow trainee to return fast.Well,im not complaining as long as i can perform the tarawih,im happy.Anyway i will like to wish all my friends Selamat Berpuasa!..puasa ok..dont puasap(a term i learn during ITE!!)

A very fortunate week i had as first Villa qon over Chelsea!!Didnt believe this at first but after consulting my "sources", it turn out to be true.Up the Lads!Then,i finally got a Silver in my last IPPT and also had my drill test.Although our instructor didnt say how much we got,he said that everybody passed!On my bookout day today,my goodpal Sulaimi who is doing his NS with CD give me a lift back home in his car!We catched up as its been quite sometimes since we last met.Anyway,the prep course squad are going in next week and cant week to kacau them!

Week 8

Had an eventful week i should say as first the CO said that next week will be the FINAL IPPT!
I will try to end it on a high with getting a Silver.The week also saw us taking a class test on law.When i first saw my paper,i got only 67% and its is consider a fail as we need to get 70% and above to pass.Upon close inspection,found out that my OC marked wrong! My final mark is 76% and happy with the mark although will strive to work hard to get higher mark.I also did my 2nd frame shooting and i got First Class which is definitely a major improvement from my first frame where i failed!
Next week we will be doing drill test where we each have to command our squad and marks will be given on how well we
can execute the command.Wish me luck!!

Ohh Crap!!

Funny thing or rather stupid things happen to me this week.My bunkmates was talking about some hot girls and their imaginations start to run wild.Then they started laughing DAMN loud in the middle of the night and was worse,it was lights off!!I was half-asleep and then i heard the instructor knocking the door!!We were given 10 sec to change to our PT kit.We then proceeded to do 100 jumping jacks and 50 push up.What worse is that i didnt wear my underwear and i think you know what happen if you dont wear underwear while doing jumping jacks!!

Today, i went for a review medical checkup and the doc said that partial colour blind can still do rountine police jobs and the only unit that i cant go is TP and PCG.I was like..shit!!..not PCG!!..It was one of the unit i was hopping to get.On the bright side,there are still lots of units left and i will work hard to achieve my target.I clocked 11.52min for 2.4km run!!.Vast improvement.Now aiming for 11.40 so that i can get silver

Was supposed to watch Rush Hour 3 but all of us were late!!We then went straight to City Music and i found that they have stock more LP guitars then last time.Was looking at thier amp and to my amazement,the amp that i try last time was 10w and not 15w!!.The latter cost $150.Doesnt matter as i have a few lobangs that can get me cheaper.

Notice that Nana have gone deaf as she kept hearing the wrong words Azhar and i say to her!.Due to old age perhaps!!Haha..just kidding Sista..but seriously get your ears check!!

Book out On Wednesday instead of Friday because of National Day.Beside that the Commander of TRACOM have given us off on Friday which means that i have a LONG book out day!For this week became squad leader which was kinda fun when you bark orders and the rest of my squad follow!But honestly,it was a great experience which only NS will bring.We also have to do research on the different type of offences given by the OC and i was given Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt.Finally i understand some of the laws although some are about the same but different ingredients causes it to became another offence.Well,gonna spend my long book out wisely!

Before i met up with Haja and Dennis at Bugis,went to Bras Basah complex to check on the shine guitar.To my horror,its gone!!..Arghh..looks like i have to scout somewhere else for it.After that met with Haja and we shared our NS story while waiting for Dennis.We then bought a cap for Shikin cos its her birthday!Happy Birthday!..At the pit at Changi met another NS man that is Arep.We talked about our NS lives to and shared a lot of hilarious story!

Went home with Ian and Haja and i asked Ian how SOC is like.Considering my mother dont want me to become PMU( the one that patrol mrt station) as she said that they looked stupid!!..Anyways,i still got another 9 more weeks to think about my posting.

Week 4

Finally i was able to book out on friday instead of saturday cos i finally passed my IPPT!Looks like the third time is the charm for me.For the 2.4km which i usually failed, i put extra effort in it this time.I keep thinking about home and woila!..i passed with a time of 12.06!!..Never in my adult life have i gone below 13 minutes and it is definitely a MAJOR improvement for me!
This week flu have been going around my squadmates with 7 of them reporting sick.Then,came the sore eyes outbreak which causes 3 of my squadmates to return home!Yes..home..wish i got sore eyes too but thinking back,i will lose alot of lessons and drills.Next week i will be squad leader of the day and wish me luck guys!

Watched my all time fav cartoon series being made into a movie yesterday.Unlike most of its games,the movie doesnt suck!!In fact it will cause you to have stitches from the start to finish!Highly recommended for people who are stressed out and it doesnt even matter that you are not a Simpsons fan.Yesterday also was the first time i went to town in 3 weeks!!Seeing all the people there causes me headache although dont mind watching the chicks there!

Its been 3 weeks since i went in and to be honest,time really flies!Left 10 more weeks to POP and the hardest part i think is that my training will be during in the fasting month.Hope that i can tahan it and maybe find out something about myself that i didnt know before like recently.

Back..tired but meaningful

Back from my 10 days hiatus which to me is equivalent to 1 month!It seems interesting how a bunch of strangers will became best of friends in the next 2 years.My bunkmates are all crazy people which is how i like it!We got nicknames for people like Venom,Mr Bean and Kacang!
As for the training,the first 3 days of torture!We called it MPH torture and did 200 jumping jacks and 100 Buddha clap.This make your ache and i cant even lift up my shirt to bathe!How i wish my mum was with me so that she can urut my aching shoulders!I also got my No.3 uniform and can say..haha..i really cant accept the fact that im in the police!!On that note to the Seniors told us to be on good behaviour when we are outside as we are police officer now.We also have to march wherever we go and the first week was quite funny as im not used to marching.But now with a bit of practice im use our squad can do well.

Certainty n Uncertainty

Woke up this morning and mum said "Nah..here are your stuff."I open my bleary eyes to find that she had bought for me detergent and toothpaste for me to bring for camp.Looks like i will became my own maid now that i have to wash my own shirts.Well,although there are no girls in my family,i have done my fair share of washing my own clothes if you believe me.Being 3 days left now,thoughts of NS looms inside my head.Its not much about the training,its about after that.

One thing that im certain is that i will definitely get darker!!Cant hide the fact.After BMT,HOPEFULLY i will get what i chose whether it is patrol or what not.I definitely dont want to get office work!Although its a 8-5 job,its seems all the training have gone to waste!I picture myself patrolling the streets and hopefully get some action.Now,after NS is another thing.My RP admission is on 2010 and my ORD is 2009.So you do the maths and i have 1 year to spare! 1 freaking year!..Hope that my ORD is close to or before 2009 poly admission and if not, i will fall to my Plan B,that is to take up football coaching license.If i manage to get the license,then i can go to schools and get some income before school starts.Well,this is my plan but plan all you can,there is bound to be some hiccup!

If you are sick of moies where the characters are in costume,well let me recommend watching Die Hard 4.0.It is back to the good old fashion kick ass no holds barred action movie.Bruce Wilis reprises his role as Detective John McClane and must fight a group of slick cyber-terrorist.It really shows how the world is depended on computers and once it stopped working,chaos looms!Although Bruce Wilis is now like what..50 ish,he still got the action hero in him.He jumped from cars,buildings and plane!Really good movie and if the Transformers made you wanna join the Army, Die Hard will wanna wish you join the police and be like McClane.The movie truly worth my $9.50.

Watched Transformer yesterday and it was one hell of a show!Filled with cool cars and babe (Megan Fox!) it was definitley worth every penny.This movie is also one where it will make you join the army on the fact that the army is cool!It was pretty long but considering it was a Michael Bay production,yup the guy that made Pearl Harbor as well,no surprise though some scenes are not necessary.

Meet Biol after that and now its is official.He is the only guy that i know that sustain ACL 2 times and on the same knee!Felt sorry for the bloke but luckily for him,he will be enlisted in October and not like me!Talked cock with him as i have not seen him for quite sometime now and he send me a few of Arctic Monkeys Song..thanks mate!Semper Fidelis Afro!!

Football:Bringing People Together

Will discuss the match later on as football really bring people together.For my case, while walking towards the stadium,heard somebody shouted my name and it was Bing!...haha.All botak as he just book out from camp.While walking with him saw another ex-sec classmate of mine.It was Wei Luo.Bing shouted his name but maybe he was too busy with his GF!We then took parted ways as Bing sat with his friends.While looking for seats,heard somebody shout "Afro"!..Turned my head and saw Farhan,Iman and the Camelot crew!Its been ages since i see them!

About the match,Singapore should have led before the break as Indra as left one-one with Schwarzer and should have lifted the ball over him.Well easy for me to say as thousands of eyes are watching over him!But good effort though.Although Australia won,they didnt really impress me.If Singapore can cause all sort of problems,what will the like of Iraq,South Korea and Japan will do!Believe me,the 3-0 scoreline is too flatering for the Aussie.Singapore area of weakness is their off the ball movement and the lack of ideas especially
in the final third.It is very apparent as whenever we got the ball in the Aussie half,NO one makes a run for space and they just stand there!Then when we make our way to the Aussie penalty area,it seems nobody wants to try a shot and if they finally did,the defence area already all over them.Im no Rinus Michaels but if Singapore improves on these problem area,im sure we can challenge the likes of Aussie again and can be confident of beating them.If the Italian football got their "Forza Italia", Singapore have one of their own in Majulah Singapura!Semper Fidelis Afro!

As the second match of the invitational tournament, Singapore faces Saudi Arabia.Lions did well in the opening 20 minutes as they attack the Saudi goal and restricted their movement.However,Lionel Lewis gaffe allowed Saudi to score from a free-kick and soon it was Saudi turn to dominate.A loose ball was picked up in Singapore half and the Saudi striker beat 2 defenders before slotting home.Half started brightly for Singapore and luck seem to be on their side as the saudi were reduced to 10 men.From there the Lions lay siege although poor finishing and lack of ideas seem to outdone them.Ashrin Shariff scored the goal deep in the final minutes.

Did a crazy thing yesterday when i took 66 all the way to Bukit Timah!The journey was about 1hr 20mins and it left my butt real sore.After i reached Bukit Timah Plaza waited for Dennis and we went to check out the guitar shop.It have the sunburst Les Paul that i always wanted but it cost $400! and i never even heard of the brand..metal gear!.But it certainly have alot of amps and it cost around $120.Waited for Azhar cos he went to Bukit Timah Shopping Centre instead of Plaza.

We went straight to PS and had a meal at McD before going to catch Fantastic Four..finally!.Yup it had been postpone for 3 times already!The show was great except that Jessica Alba doesnt really fit the role as Sue.She look funny when exerting her power and the fact she is casted is just to be an eye candy?Well other then that the CGI is great especially Silver Surfer.Although i dont collect/read Fantastic Four comic,im glad they did justice by doing a great movie out of it.The Fantasti-car is cool as well!On my way home while i was inside 65,i saw Hanif, my sec school pal!The thing was i totally didnt saw him on the bus and spotted him only at Bedok!He didnt saw he going up the bus as well!He told he got into police and will be going in at 10 july..I was like great!..another buddy there.See you there mate!

Lions edge out DPR Korea

In their opening game against the relatively unknown Koreans,Singapore did well to secure their first win in the invitational tournament.However,the Koreans stamp their authority earlier on with some slick passing and they bossed the midfield.Bennet was having problem coping with the pacey right winger.They could open the scoring but the boots of
Lionel Lewis prevented that.In a complete against the run of play,Ridhuan collected a lon punt from midfield and shimy his way past thru goal.Superb finishing as well planting it at the top corner.Singapore improved in the 2nd half and dominate the game and could have extend their lead if not for some lack of composure infront of goals.The Koreans too did that when they had 2 one-to one opportunity but really squandered their chances.However,luck seems to be on their side when they scored what seem to be a lucky goal as Lionel Lewis was caught in no man lands.This spurred Singapore to attack and Indra finally extend the lead with a well taken header.Final score Singapore 2 DPR Korea 1

All and all it was a good game and if Singapore played like in the 2nd half,we sure can beat Australia!Come on lads!..If any of you wanna watch Sin-Saudi,call me ya cos so far nobody wanna go!

Since i reached PS quite early before the guys,i went to the Yamaha shop to scout around for their amps.Turns out not only are they expensive but are only 10 watts!..Yamaha definitely is not the place for my budget.Walk around inside Baleno and saw the pants i always wanted to buy and it was only $19!Bought it after i try it on and seems like my waist have definitely dropped from 33 to 32!And even 32 seems a bit loose.Finally met azhar and dennis and bought the tix for the singapore-australia match.Cant wait for the match cos i really dont like the aussie team.Dont know why maybe because they "sibok2" join AFC and proclaimed they are the favourites to win the Asia Cup justified my anger?Animosity aside,i hope the Lions can do well that they and show the aussie what we are made of!

Dob holding the TGM guitar

Spotted a rainbow!

The Shine Guitar which i plan to buy except that it is white

Meet my good old buddy Dob after friday prayers' today.As always,Ghufran is packed even though i consider myself quite earlier!..Had to pray at the staircase!.We went to Davis to check out the guitars prices.I managed to narrow down the model that i want and its Les Paul.Considering Gibson Les Paul cost me a bomb and i have to rob a bank just to buy it,i had to settle for a different brand but same Les Paul model.

Davis had this promo of $235 and its a SX guitar and its a package that comes with a 15w amp.But the colour,haha,very the dull.Plain black!After that we went to the other shop around Penin and saw this baby..a white Shine Les Paul!..but the price was $400!..We went back to Davis again but the Les Paul there didnt interest me.So we went to Bras Basah Complex and Dob said there are 2 guitars shop there.We went to the shop(i forgot the name!) and saw the White Shine again!..This time the price is $335 and after a 20% it is just $300!..WoW..great diff!

The shop had 2 guitars that i fancied and Dob and i tried the both of them.The TGM guitar is $250 and quite nice but when comes to sound,the Shine brand wins it hands down.So i have the guitar in mind and next on my list is amp.The shop had this sucky sounding TGM amp for $50 and naturally,its not worth buying.So we went to Swee Lee and saw this Ibanez amp for $100 after discount!Haha..i ask the salesguy if its possible the amp will be there in 2 months time and he say he cant confirm it.Dob then suggested we go Dhoby Ghaut as he said he have seen a cheaper amp there.This part i cannot tahan..Bulu,my other friend give wrong info!

Bulu said there is shop at Parklane Shopping centre and i was like "parklane"?Where got?There is only Parkmall!..So we went inside there like tourist and couldnt find the shop!It was mostly high class shop inside!Then Bulu said in was near Paradiz and finally we saw Parklane!..BUT!..the shop in still not inside there!..The shop is actually in Peace Centre which is BESIDE Parklane.Alamak Bulu..give wrong info la!So finally we got to the shop and saw this Vox amp which after discount is $100 as well.Sounds as good as the Ibanez amp.

So fingers cross will be getting the Shine Les Paul and either amp in 2 months time!Thanks Dob for your company and advice!Semper Fidelis..Afro

Today's soccer get together was quite an emotional one as 2 of my mates are goin NS next week!..Yup..how times fly.This is our last get together presumably although we can meet up and chill when they book out.The last game of the day quite "drama"..Haha..The reason this guy was not happy with our style of play which he consider "rough".Dude..grow up man!..This is soccer and if you dont want get hurt stay at home and play PS2 at the comfort of your home!

I might be biased but we didnt actually play rough and like the rest of the lads pointed out,they were the soft type and i totally agree!After the match we chill around and i heard a shock of a story!!.The geek/nerd from our school was arrested!.i was like shell-shocked!..My friend said that he saw this geek at CGH handcuffed and being escourted by 2 guards.He in trouble with the law?..that is so unbelievable!..It is said that he invented a device that can steal motorcycle but i didnt know if he actually got caught while doing it.So the moral of the story,dont study too much and end up in prison!

Shrek 3 n Level 18

Went to watched Shrek 3 yesterday.Supposed to meet Dennis for a chill session but during my ride to Bedok MRT he said Haja is joining us.Meet at Raffles cos Haja wanted to buy his stuff.The shop didnt have it but it have Spidey!..haha..spotted a Spidey figurine with a comic attached and its the first appearance of Silver Sable.Too bad they didnt have the one with #252.Then Dennis played with the cool-looking lightsaber complete with light and sound!Just like the real thing!I also saw they have Chewbacca figurine.Look cool but no space to put him if i buy him.Better stick to my Spidey comics collection.

After that we went to watched Shrek 3 at Cathay but Dennis played arcade since he watched it earlier on.Hilariously funny and left me in stitches!..As for Justin Timberlake debut in a cartoon as Artie,he sounds not bad and suits the whiny character well.Cos i always picture him as a whiny guy..dont know why..maybe because of his boyband past??

We then went to arcade.There we played racing games and the picture game.Each of us have their own speciality.Dennis do well in pictures containing bikini clad women,Haja in pictures containing foodstuff while i do pretty well for buildings picture.Played for 2 rounds and cant seem to get past level 18!..Damn..it got harder and the time ticks faster!McCafe is our next destination and the lads bought themselves drink while i just sat they looking at empty space.Haha..to sleepy and tired maybe because of all the running??..not complaining cos i starting to feel the improvement.

Today mark the 63th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy.For those of you who are rusty with your history,let me give you a brief overview of the event.

The Battle of Normandy was fought in 1944 between Nazi Germany in Western Europe and the invading Allied forces as part of the larger conflict of World War II. Operation Overlord was the codename for the Allied invasion of northwest Europe, which began on June 6, 1944, and ended on August 19, 1944, when the Allies crossed the River Seine. It remains one of the largest seaborne invasion in history.

The primary Allied formations that saw combat in Normandy came from the United States of America, United Kingdom and Canada. Substantial Free French and Polish forces also participated in the battle after the assault phase.

The Normandy invasion began with overnight parachute and glider landings, massive air attacks, naval bombardments, and an early morning amphibious phase began on June 6. The beachheads was divided into Juno,Omaha,Gold,Utah and Sword.Different countries took different beach heads given by them.About 155,00 soldiers participate in the battle in what proved to be the major turning point in the war.

The men who gave their lives in deserved my outmost respect because i dont know if im brave enough to do what they have done,which is to give their lives so that the future is a better place to live in.

Well, finally able to blog after my unofficial "break".The truth is got a bit busy sometimes with my new found fitness regimen.Yup,with the enlistment day drawing nearer,i got to improve on my fitness.My 2.4km is especially rabak but i really hope that my fitness level will be like the Kenyans!.Haha..just joking..no amount of training will transform me to be like them.I started on quite earlier on but it just went downhill with the graduation stuff and all that.I got back on the jogging trail when nana said to beep her if i were to jog again.Well,thanks for that nana!I finally got back to my fitness regimen and as of this week,i have been out jogging 3 times already!.Not bad for my standard actually.

Well,hopefully i can ace that IPPT in NS and get gold and $200 as well!Fingers crossed!.Really need the discipline to stick to my regimen. On another note, found out that my current guitar machine heads is really hard to unscrew!..damn..have to find another way to fix the replacements i bought!

Played street soccer with my old secondary school mates today.Well,some things never changed as they are late!Glad to see them honestly as the last time we chill and talk about hows life was about 4-5 months back?..Yup that is pretty long!Although we seldom meet, we still have interesting topics to discuss and a few jokes as well.

As for the street soccer, we played on and on and didnt notice it was 1pm!I played untill my boxers' koyak!..Haha..at first i heard the sound of something rip but didnt notice anything.It was when i tried to stretch my legs that i hear another sound.This time louder!..Inspect my shorts and it was ok but it was when i check my boxers that i saw it was split completeyl!Luckily still can wear and reach home!

To take or not to take...

Went to NSC (skin centre) to have a look at my acne.Truth to behold i could not care less about my acne and if it were not for my mum's constant nagging for me to seek medical advice,i will not have gone.Then she said she was gonna pay for the medical bills but in the end,she said i can pay her after i got my NS pay!..Hah..my mum i tell you,is the only person who psycho me!!

Waited for about 50 mins to see the doc and after looking at my acne,he ask me about what medications i had taken before and the dosage.I can tell you he was kinda shock when i said none of the medications given before work.He then gave me a leaflet about Isotretinoin and said he will consider giving me that if my skin does not improve.I read this medication before on the net and can tell you,its pretty hardcore!To give you an analogy of the drug,its like you are losing a war and the only thing that can save you is a nuclear blast.Like in nuclear blast,it kills all and those affected suffered from side effects.From what i read from the leaflet and the research i have done,it causes dry eyes,sore lips,dry skin and dry mouth.

That side effect i can "tahan" but the other side effect is that it causes bones and joints to ache.I read this guy stop playing softball after taking that med.His joints have never fully returned to their pre-med state.Reading this i was like SHIT!..but the good thing i have is that hopefully the drugs he giving right now can clear the acne and do not have to resort to using isotretinion.I dont wanna have boints and joint problem while im still young!!

Had a game at the usual place which is the cage.Those damn orange team were there again and beat them in the first meeting!Yess!!But soon after that our team performance went downhill.We lost about 2 games before beating Shahreen team.Fun but tiring.Scored one goal although not as spectacular as the one i scored before.I also failed to score with the goal at my mercy!!Damn!

Went to eat and chill at KFC where arep,razmi and his bro joined us.We reminiscent about our time at CE and had a great laugh especially poking fun at shahreen and the stupid things he had done!..The weather!!..Haha..still leave me in stitches!.Nothing beats bullying shahreen honestly!!Nice to see the lads together especially arep as i have not seen him in awhile.Might be our last cage outing as well.

After that went to PS as azhar wanted to buy his grad day clothing.So off we went to PS with me wearing bermudas and slippers!!..Haha...my first time going to town wearing that but really doesnt give a damn about people opinion!He bought his shirt,pants and.....boxers!Haha..Went home after that dead tired and slept on the bus all the way.Woke up just in time to alight at my bustop.

Happy Mother's Day!

Being tomorrow is Mother Day,i will like to dedicate this piece to my mom.

I know that i can be an ass sometimes or always when you ask me to do something.You nag at me for not keeping my room clean among other stuffs.I sometimes wish you just leave me alone but thats where being a mother is important.You stood by me when i was having difficulty like the time i got into ITE and didnt where my future lies.You told me being in ITE is not so bad as there is a chance of me going to poly if i did well.Well mum,i did well enough to grab a spot to poly and its all thanks to you.

Tomorrow is also very meaningful to me.Its the first mothers day since my mom was diagnose with breast cancer.Yup, you seen correctly.I kept this from most of my mates as i didnt want to be sympathise.I know that my mum is a strong women and she did pull through in the end.It was heart-breaking to see her in hospital but i didnt shed a tear cos i wanted her to see that i was strong and so can she.That incident made me realise how REALLY important she is in my life.I really cant imagine my life without her honestly.So from that moment i will really cherish her and be a wonderful son to her.Hopefully i can repay the faith by making her proud of me and take care of her in her golden years like how she did when i was a baby.Thanks mum for everything.No one can replace you.Happy Mothers Day!!

Met my fellow amigos today after my friday prayer.Took my time after the prayer to walk to the bustop as i knew they will be late.My late is not late enough as azhar came after me and chinaman came the latest!Almost 1 hr late and hes the one who organises the outing.He finally got his mega-jumbo headphones that he so craved for.Went to eat and after that went to Far East to search for my grad day tie.Chinaman and Shahreen made their way respectively and left me and Azhar.

Search for the shop and azhar said the shop have closed down!..Bloody hell!!So we went window shopping and i found nice t-shirts but the price..wow..around $40-$67!!Not willing to shell my money on that price!Anyway,when i told azhar i bought a Oakley sunglasses from KL,he said he wanted to buy one too.So we search for his shades and finally got one from 77th Street.Must say look like Bono!!Haha..Soon after that, we make our way to Somerset and saw this models on the street.I was on the lookout as Laura told me that she was working as a model at town on Friday and weekend.Lo and behold,i saw her talking to her friend.I shouted her name and she look kinda shock..maybe she thought a stalker was after her?..Anyway nice to see her after a long time.Must say its been a while too since a all guys outing happens.Must meet up again guys cos no more Fro after NS..Hehe..And Haja,you told chinaman about my growling stomach ah?Die!!Haha...Semper Fidelis Afro!!

Preparation For Grad Day

Got up early this morning to accompany my mum to the market and also to find my shoes for the graduation ceremony.You can say i have all the shoes from sneakers to boots but smart shoe..nah!Considering that i will only wear the shoe for graduation, i decided to find a cheap one.Anyway found one and really cheap..$19.90!..Hah..what a bargain!

While on the topic of bargaining,i must say im impress with my mum bargaining power when she bought things from the market.Thats the one "power" that i lack!Can you teach me how to bargain mom?.Haha..i think most mum are best at bargaining.

While my checklist for things to buy for grad day is almost finish and the last item i need to find is a tie.Hope can find 1 for a very low price as well.

Run Afro Run!!

Finally!!..Managed to find time and rid myself of laziness to get my running shoes and jog.Have to do it now or never with my impending NS.Jog along Bedok Reservoir Park,not the reservoir itself.I thought of running to East Coast which the marker says is about 6km but i could not find time doing it since i jog quite late.Furthermore,there are lack of sign to show me the way to East Coast.Imagine me running to West Coast instead of East Coast!

While i was running this lady was jogging straight to me.When i went pass her,her perfume smell is so overpowering!Look like the whole of Bedok could smell her!!Maybe she wanted to smell good even after her workout.Kudos to her for exercising although tone down the perfume please.
I did my pull up and could do 5 and rested awhile to regain my strength.Wrong!!..Did my second set and could only did 3!Anyway glad i finally jog and next time will jog to Kembangan(thank god there is a route map) and maybe will find the route to East Coast.Semper Fidelis Afro!

Back to the main topic.Watched Spider-Man 3 yesterday with my usual mates.Spider-Man is always closed to heart as i have been reading them since i was like 5 and what i really like about him is that he lead a normal life and have to struggle financially.He dont have the riches like Bruce Wayne aka Batman and is not popular among his peers as he is a geek.He said that his powers are a blessing and a curse.For those who have yet to watched it, look out for a cameo by Stan Lee,the man who created spidey!

I collected some of Spider-Man comics and i think i got them around 60+?Cos i dont really bother counting them.Have become sort of my hobbies and got them mostly from ebay while some at a shop i found at Marine Parade.Expensive hobby i might add cos the older the comic,the higher the price.In some case,some issues of the comics are expensive as well cos they contain key issues. Issues like 98 and 252 can fetch hundreds of dollars.In case you are wondering what issues they contain,98 tells about how Gwen Stacy die and 252 is about Spidey appearing in his black suit for the first time.You can say that im a spidey geek.Hehe..Well thats all from me now,Semper Fidelis Afro!

My first time going up to Genting.Very cold and enjoy the thrill rides very much!

Went to Sunway Lagoon and had a blast there.Although the thrill rides is not so thrilling as compared to Genting.Or is it i had too much ride at Genting?

Final day at KL and went shopping till all of us dropped!!

One thing that i notice is that are the Malaysian girls hot or what!!..Maybe will go there and find myself a wife!!

Really happy to be back after spending 3 adrenaline-laden days at KL.Might be my last trip overseas considering i will be serving my NS come July.Im kinda lost of what happen back home so any of you guys can tell me what happen in Singapore since i left?Anyway i will post the pictures soon(i promise!..maybe tomorrow) if i have the time considering i got quite a lot of stuff to clear.Time for me to catch up on sleep as well!..Semper Fidelis Afro!!

Swimming N Torture

The thought of me slacking at home gone in the air when chinaman told me about his plan to go swimming with nana.His first choice was boon lay and i agreed.The venue then changed to yew tee and finally to Toa Payoh after nana made her choice.I waited for them like for 45min!!..Bloody hell!!.Made our way towards the pool and i noticed nana bringing quite a large bag.I thought she was going scuba diving with the bag she had! She explained that she brought along her floating board.

Swim for about 1.5 hr and asked chinaman to teach me breastroke as i got difficulty getting the technique.Wanted to go to the deep pool cos wanted to practice my water threading technique but was hampered went the whole pool is used up by students for training.Really hope i dont get posted as Coast Guard!!

Went to Fork n Spoon to have our dinner and meet Shahreen from there.After that went to McDonald and played the forfeit game...again!..This time the terrible duo of chinaman and nana used wasabi as the forfeit.To be honest i can take the tangy and sharp sensation cos i love spicy food but i dont like the taste.It was horrible!Took quite a lot of wasabi and i developed the technique of putting it in the middle of the tongue and collecting my saliva before swallowing it.Hey presto!!..it worked!!Thanks nana for the horrible idea of using wasabi!!..Semper Fidelis Afro! Medal Of Honor(MOH) is back!For those of you unfamiliar with the game it is a First person shooter based on WW2.Previous installment of the game ie Pacific Assault that i played before is superb and cant wait for the new installment.Its title is MOH:Airborne.Its game level is based on Operation Husky and later on Varsity.Whats new in this game is how the game start is based on where you land.So get ready to shoot and kill germans on 27 August 07.My only gripe is that i wont know when i will get to play it since i will be inside camp by then.Semper Fidelis Afro!!

Chinaman n Last bus...

I was working on Saturday night and the last flight that i got was on 11.10.Bloody hell!!..the plane is filled with cargos and mails and to make matter worse,we had to search for transit cargos.I tell you, the chinaman who arranged the cargo(the plane was from China) just chucked the cargo everywhere!The uncle who i worked with kept on cursing the chinaman and although he himself is a chinese,he said he didnt like chinaman!.Finish unloading the plane at around 11.55pm.Quickly took my bag and make an exit.

I took bus no 24 as if i were to take 27 and alight at Tampines,i will surely miss 21 and futhermore if i were to stop at Bedok Interchange, 228 last bus is at 1230 and the bus USUALLY comes around 1240.So i gamble on this and boy was i wrong!Arrived at Bedok at 1225 and to my horror,228 just left its parking bay and going staright to pick up the passengers!I ran as fast as possible but to no avail.I miss the last bus!!!arghhh!!

I glanced at my watch and it was 1230.Bloody SBS,usually when i waited for 228 it usually comes at 1240.Dont know why the driver comes so early this time.So i weigh my options.
Either take cab or walk home.Considering i had no cash on me, i choose the latter.Switch on my mp3 on off i went.Funny thing was it was kinda realaxing to walk at night!With the night breeze and no choking smoke from vehicles.The reservoir too look nice during night with the lighting.
I then thought it will be perfect to jog during this time.Anyway,learnt my lesson and will
bring extra cash next time!Afro Out!!

Got my enlistment letter today!!And guess what i got..police.Haha..cant really see me
to serve and protect but i will do my best.
The weird thing is that i dreamt about it a few weeks back that i was getting into police.Well looks like i can see the future as well!The notice is seen in the picture above and i will told you what they wrote consider the picture is quite blur.

Sad day today for Villains everywhere as Angel have confirm his move to NY Red Bulls.Although not featured regularly, he started this season and the likes of Gabby,Carew,Moore and Young have pushed him down the pecking order.

Bought from River Plate for 9.5mil pounds after the now infamous "pound" demonstration by Villa fans aimed at deadly doug.He duly paid that faith with 23 goals and Villa narrowly misses on UEFA spot to Newcastle due to goals difference.He was a true professional as although he was homesick,he didnt whine but instead learn and adapt the english culture.Martin O'Neill also praises his attitude as although he didnt get many chance to play he still did his best during training.

Trip Postpone!!

Arghh!!..Feel like screaming my heart out after hearing that the trip is postpone.More about that later.
Sunday happen like everyday else with Aston Villa winning away again(Yea!) that put them well above the relegation zone.Although Boro took the lead we fought back.Villa have now come from behind 10 times in top flight matches this season - only Arsenal can top that and that is really an amazing statistics!As a Villa fan really look forward to next season under the guidance of O'Neill and the deep coffers of Learner.
Well back to the topic,Shahreen told me the the trip is postpone to next month as he said he is low on cash and his friend who is wanted to join us backed out.I was feeling frustrated as was looking forward to this trip ages now.On the bright side, maybe the other guys can join us although there is a possibility of me going NS.Well, i have come to terms with it and anyone who wishes to join us is welcome!..Afro Out!!

A wholelot of shootin!

Yesterday was about honor,Today is about justice.Well thats the tagline of the movie that i watched today.Went with Dennis,Haja and Nana to catch it at Orchard Cineleisure.The movie is filled with shooting scenes and explosion!.It maybe technical in some parts especially the early stages like how the wind direction affects bullets movement etc but in the end the whole concept of the movie is you bastard me and you die!Great sniper action and mark walhberg acting is believable considering he was taught by a retired USMC officer on handling weapons.There is even a cameo by Lane Garrison (Tweener in Prison Break)as his spotter and best mate.Overall will give the movie 4/5!Afro Outta!

What?Cage?what is it?Well basically it is a shophouse converted into a indoor football pitch.The area is the size of a futsal pitch.Pictures below.

The playing area

The grass is synthetic turf and is the same found at St Wilfried if you have played there before. Major european clubs like Barcelona, Werder Bremen and Arsenal uses that turf at their training ground. As for me it is definitely nice to play on the turf as it is good for sliding!!and you wont feel itchy unlike normal grass field.Whats good about the Cage is that you can play it under sweltering sun or heavy rain without any problem.

We played for 4 hrs today and since they got student promo, we only pay for the 2 hrs while the other 2 hrs is free!!Yes you seen correctly its free!!Overall i only paid $4 which was worth it.My early team comprises of azhar,haja,two of azhar's friends and ariff.Won like 2-3 games(cant remember exactly).I scored two goals where one of the goals is worthy contender for goals of the season!..But seriously,didnt expect the ball to swoosh past the keeper the moment it left my boot.The ball went to the top left hand corner of the post.Magnificent im telling you!.Too bad nobody capture it on video or else i could have posted it!

Enough of me..as for my other team-mates, happy being able to play with them especially Mr Prata..Haja.If only i got his stamina!Damn..he keep running and running and almost scored a goal!Ariff with his 'gentel' which is his trademark.His gentel will definitely bring him places someday.Well thats all for today adventure..Afro Out!

An eventful wednesday i had today.Check my results in the morning and must say a little surprise to get the grades for some of my modules especially POM.Then in the afternoon went to RP with Haja to finish up my enrolment to RP.It really pisses me off as i did not receive the enrolment letter and the officer told me that they face some "problem" in letter delivery in the Bedok area...whatever that means.But thank goodness they told me the enrolment letter is not that important. Since i did not know what course i was getting,the officer scan my ic and told me that i got in the Sports And Exercise Science.Really happy cos many of my ITE mates are goin there as well.Although they have to wait for 2 years for me to rock their world..hehe.

Finally all of the pieces have fallen together.After NS i need not worry about what to do as RP as reserve a place for me.After the diploma, plan to take coaching license and hopefully let nature takes it course.

Footy Sunday-Azhar XI -12 Chinese Invitationals - 1

Woke up especially early today although just got back home from work late Saturday night. Got 6 hrs of sleep before waking up at 720am. Meet up with Masrin at Yishun mrt station because i didnt know where the field is located.On the way to meet Azhar, saw the field was in a terrible state considering it rain there earlier on. We waited for shahreen and the opponent to come.The game started around 1230 considering other teams were using the field.Yours truly played in defence and honestly was expecting a challenge.They comply albeit for the first 10 minutes before we came all over them. We were 5-1 at halftime and a during 2nd half when we were 8-1 up i could sense they were demoralise.Frustration got the better of them and scuffle broke out late in the game.

IMO we played well but was disappointed we let in one goal.How did i fare?Well i gave myself a 6.5/10 cos honestly its been a long time since i played field football.Went home straight after that as my body is covered with mud and i have to soak my stuff that are covered with mud as well.Definitely was a great Sunday!..Afro out!!Btw anyone who want to play football come down to the Cage 9 April.See ya there!

Does everything add up to 23?

Went to watched 23 just now with me brothers in arms;Azhar, Dennis and Masrin. Surprise of the day..azhar and dennis both turned up early!!..Haha..well back to the movie.Its about how Jim Carrey character life is evolved around the number 23.His birthdate is 3 February and he got married on 13 October and etc.The movie is really more to the psychological thriller.You can hear people brains' processing the movie as it pans out.

It really make me ponder..does everything in my life adds up to 23?.After doing numerous calculation(yeah right!), luckily for me it does not.But 1 thing for certain, everything happens for a reason and i believe in that.As for the movie, i rate it 3.5/5. Not bad but the events really pans out really slowly.Well enough yakking from me today.Afro Out!!
